Trust Investments

The Trust Investment portfolio is an integral component of the CMCA benefits package, structured to ensure benefits flow to future generations beyond ok Tedi mine closure.  Investments are made in accordance with a Trust Deed, are highly visible in Western Province and have guaranteed returns.  OTDF manages these Trust Investment funds through a four-pronged strategy that ensures the protection of capital and drives stable returns for future growth, all at minimal risk.

 In 2019 the portfolio continued investing in high yielding, high coupon inscribed stocks. Current investments alone will realise a coupon income of over PGK 26 million over their life.

From mid-2020 added income will flow from the Cassowary Hotel investment with the finalisation of the lease agreement with Coral Sea Hotels.
