The Ok Tedi Development Foundation (OTDF) executive management team received praise from its Board for coverage and presence in delivering critical development projects to the Community Mine Continuation Agreement (CMCA) Trust regions.
This strong endorsement comes as leaders emphasised the importance of OTDF this past decade in securing a sustainable future for mine impacted communities beyond the life of the Ok Tedi Mine.
Middle Fly leader and Associate Director on the OTDF Board, Mr. Richard Zumoi, boldly expressed his confidence in OTDF’s role in the CMCA region’s future. “OTDF is our future,” Mr. Zumoi stated, highlighting his firm belief the foundation’s contributions remain pivotal for driving development outcomes.
Mr. Zumoi’s views were strongly supported by all associate directors, including the Women and Children Association representative, demonstrating a unified commitment to OTDF’s continued existence and operations.
Newly appointed Associate Director representing North Fly Trusts, Mr. Nathan Samuel, also echoed these sentiments, applauding OTDF’s robust organisational structure, financial processes dedicated workforce, and firm commitment to integrity and transparency in project delivery.
“OTDF has all financial capabilities and guidelines in place and is an established and recognised entity currently operating to deliver projects,” Mr. Samuel stated. His remarks reinforced OTDF’s reputation as a trusted and capable institution for project management in the CMCA regions.
Chairman of the OTDF Board, Mr. Jesse Pile, graciously acknowledged the positive feedback from the associate directors.
